You can also show up whenever you would like to and just hack with us.

There will be a few very short demos from local open source maintainers where they will talk about their projects, open source and how contributions like this help out.

We will have light food for attendees. Beer and other drinks will be available to purchase from Yellowhead.

Note:
We are also having two followup hack nights on the evenings of October 22nd and 29th at Salz.

Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open source software. Maintainers are invited to guide would-be contributors towards issues that will help move the project forward, and contributors get the opportunity to give back to both projects they like, and ones they've just discovered. No contribution is too small—bug fixes and documentation updates are valid ways of participating.
